TALKING HEADS OFFER UP FIVE TRACKS FOR ROCK BAND Something like the bonus track “Less Talk More Rokk” by Freezepop on Guitar Hero 2, which I thought was fun times if not a bit repetitive. Maybe some fun and hectic electronic music – I know it’s not necessarily appropriate considering the instruments, but it IS a video game. Franz Ferdinand and Guns N’ Roses will be offered for PSP gamers on the 3rd of September.Īll songs will be available as individual tracks or, for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 owners, under Talking Heads Pack 01. New additions don’t exclude Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP, either. Featured tracks for the 360 and PS3, available September 1st and 3rd respectively, will include Oasis, Rage Against the Machine, and five songs from Talking Heads. The new tracks for the Wii are already available as of the 25th of August, including some Tom Petty, Billy Idol, Jet, tons of Judas Priest and various others. Sort of the Guitar Hero killer to some gamers, the competitor ups the ante this coming September by adding new tracks as DLC on the 360, PS3, Wii, and PSP as announced by developer Harmonix and publisher MTV Games.

Normally this is where gaming writers would take a moment to request that Harmonix add their favorite band/genre/song to Rock Band as future downloadable content, but being the card-carrying nonconformist that I am I would instead like to request that Harmonix revive the Frequency/Amplitude series for the PSP. That is, each tune will set you back roughly $2, and most will also be available in a discounted theme pack. So far there’s no word on how much the DLC will set you back, but we expect it will follow the pricing scheme established by the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Rock Band. Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Under the Bridge” Come June 9, the game’s release date, these songs will be available for download from the PSP’s iteration of the PlayStation Network Store. Siouxsie & the Banshees – “The Killing Jar”Īdditionally, the firm has also revealed the first ten downloadable tracks for the game.
